"Free trial class"*
From the first moment the student contacts us, we will try to arrange a virtual meeting, a brief interview with the student, or what many call a “Free First Class.” The purpose of this meeting is to get to know the student personally (even if virtually). We want to understand your goals, assess your Spanish language level, determine what type of course you are looking for, including its duration, frequency, and budget, so we can create a customized Spanish course for the student. From that point, we can plan, in a personalized manner, the content we believe is ideal for the student’s needs and the course pace (a long term Spanish course is different from an intensive course).
During the lessons, the student will work on various communicative aspects, both in a specific and independent manner, as well as in a more integrated and global way. However, the methodology of the Spanish class will depend on different factors such as the student’s fatigue, mood and time.
Things we do in our Spanish classes
Reading with comprehension questions
Reading is a fundamental part of teaching in any language. We will practice readings of all kinds, from current topics in the media to classic literary works of obligatory reference. Before or after the reading, there will be a brief conversation about the topic in question.
Conversation
Classes will always be focused on conversational level, generating debate and conversation on any topic that arises during the class. We enjoy controversial and current topics, so we will propose controversial issues to generate conversation. We are open to discussing any conversation topic proposed by the student.
Spanish grammar
Regarding Spanish grammar, there will be a chronological overview of all the verb tenses in the Spanish language. Additionally, other grammatical elements will be covered, such as the use of connectors, direct and indirect speech, active and passive voice, and, in general, any grammatical aspect of the Spanish language.
Audiovisual content
In our classes, there will be audiovisual resources such as videos, short films, songs, etc.
Vocabulary
A fundamental pillar in our classes is general and specific vocabulary, as well as the use of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms. We excel at identifying and distinguishing colloquial expressions from a multitude of Spanish-speaking regions (both within Spain and in Latin American countries).
Exercises in Spanish
Our classes have a strong emphasis on completing written exercises and activities. Additionally, if the student desires, we can assign homework to be completed in their free time.
Culture
We not only teach the Spanish language, but we are also specialized in teaching the culture of Spain and Latin American countries. Students will learn through poetry, gastronomy, art, politics, literature, etc.
Writing
This part of the online Spanish lessons is completely optional, as we understand that for many of our students, writing in Spanish is not a priority. For those who are interested in enhancing and improving their Spanish writing, the focus will be on accentuation and punctuation.

Learn while have fun
The communication platform we will use is Zoom, and if there are any issues with this software, we have other video conferencing options available. Since these are online Spanish lessons, the class will have a strong audiovisual component, with activities including TV videos, informative audios, podcasts, short films, songs, poetry, and other surprises.
We provide our own educational material for free, except for conversation courses. We generate current content for our classes every day. Although we don’t work directly with a specific book, we can recommend one depending on the student’s profile, especially if they are a beginner, to serve as additional support.
Personalized attention
We prepare the Spanish lessons in a personalized manner. We draft a preliminary script and prepare all the files to share with the student at the appropriate time. However, this does not mean the class cannot follow its own path, with the freedom to change direction and work on other aspects that may arise spontaneously and be relevant to the student at that moment. We believe this adds a very interesting pace and dynamism for the success of an online class, meeting our two main premises: learning and having fun. We have a methodology, but if you do not like it, we have another ones.
Finally, from the first day, the student will have the teacher’s WhatsApp contact, allowing for continuous support to send questions or doubts about Spanish at almost any time.
